Sunden Farms Inc (SFI) is a family owned traditional and hydroponic farm located in Lower Coverdale, NB. In 2016, the beautiful black and white Holsteins moved from 1469 Route 114 to their new home in Burton, NB. The Howes changed the name of the farm in Lower Coverdale to Sunden Farms Inc to reflect the new nature of the farm. The name means “healthy” or “water” which is symbolic of our growing methods. The new focus of the farm is to produce healthy fruit and vegetables 365 days a year that are affordable, nutritious and readily available to the community.
SFI currently produces a variety of leafy greens, including 15 different types of lettuce, microgreens, kale, swiss chard, herbs and baby leaf herbs. We have experimental indoor crops that include tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, cucumbers, watermelon, peas, beans and few additional surprises!
We currently grow in a 15,000 sqft indoor climate controlled space. Summer of 2025, we will be expanding increasing our production by 19,000 sqft.
